This pickup fits into a standard humbucker route and is wound in the style of the classic P-90.  The humbucker length is significantly shorter than a standard P-90, which makes in impossible to put as many turns of 42 awg wire on the coil as the original without increasing the coil's height.   Instead, we wind this pickup with a narrower, 43 awg wire (plain enamel). Consequently, the pickup has slightly lower output levels, despite its DCR readings (7.25 kOhms in the neck and 7.75 kOhms in the bridge).  The pickup really excels throughout the sound spectrum, without being overly bright or strident.  In fact, this pickup sounds so great, we're often tempted to wind our standard P-90s with the 43 awg wire too.  The pickup also uses AlNiCo V magnets and a shielded, two-conductor lead.

When we hit on the formula for this pickup, we were really thrilled with the outcome - and we're sure you will be too.  Be aware, though, that the Domino has the same size, serves the same purpose, is absolutely hum-free and simply sounds better.
